With a Good Team, Anything is Possible

November 5, 2022

Alison Watros โ€” Executive Director

A good team can make all the difference in the quest for success. This is as true for businesses as it is for baseball or a multidisciplinary team in a detox setting. With this in mind, we wanted to ensure we put together the best team for Restored Path Detox so that we could create the highest opportunities for success in long-term recovery for our patients.

ย

Our goals for Restored Path Detox led our way in searching for a successful team.ย

ย

From the beginning stages of planning, we have always held the tenant of wanting Restored Path Detox to be a place to jump-start the recovery journey for our patients and their families. In order to do this, we needed to ensure that we built a team who could stabilize patients by carefully managing their withdrawals while also assessing their internal and external resources, increasing their motivation for change and lasting recovery, and making clinically appropriate recommendations for continuing care services. This could only be done with top medical, clinical, and operational talent to get the job done right.

ย

Once we solidified our goals, we were able to clarify who we needed to build the best possible multidisciplinary team.ย

ย

To keep our patients safe and comfortable, we knew we needed competent, professional, licensed, and experienced providers at all levels from medical, nursing, clinical, care coordination, and operational teams alike. Next, we needed to ensure the collaboration of our multidisciplinary team through rapport and team building by engaging in experiential training, trust development exercises, and modeling of proven methods and processes. As such, we utilized leaders across the business to showcase and train their specialties. With a culturally and professionally diverse team, we leveled up on the teamsโ€™ multicultural competencies to increase chances for greater empathy and innovation at this level of care for our alcohol detox in Dallas.ย ย

ย

Lastly, we placed emphasis on experience in the field.ย

ย

To ensure pattern recognition and high-level diagnostic abilities, we looked for professionals with different tenured backgrounds in behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment. This would allow every team member to participate in pinpointing core issues that exacerbate or contribute to substance use. From our board-certified Medical Director and Director of Nursing, who each hold over 30 years of experience in the field, to our Nurse Practitioners with tenured medical, detox, and ICU knowledge, to our compassionate and discerning nursing and clinical teams with previous substance abuse treatment experience, our team is competent and ready. By taking great measures in how we assembled our team, we hope to provide the highest level of withdrawal management services to our patients at every step of their stay with us. With a good team, we believe that anything is possible, and our team is ready to be a part of your healing journey.
